According to article 82 of the constitution of Uganda, Anita Among, the ongoing deputy speaker of the late Rt. Hon Jacob Oulanyah does not have to leave/ resign her position as deputy speaker to assume the position of full speakership of the 11th parliament just like the former speaker of parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga took over from Honourable Ssekandi when his time was up.
The 11th parliament of the Republic of Uganda suffered a paralysis, a huge hole that needs a huge bottleneck before the parliament picks up business again, the late Rt. Hon Speaker has left behind big shoes to fill in a crumbling parliament.
Ugandan politics is littered with unnecessary murders inform of Assassinations like the famous 17th Match 2017 Murder of IGP Andrew Kaweesi, and now, in 2022, the rumored poisoning of the Rt. Hon Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.
Is poisoning/killing/murdering and other forms of hate becoming a major way of elimination of leaders in this country?
